TAKE ACTION

Coke ovens can produce plumes of smoke and bad smells.  The air pollution reporting tool helps us track this information and report it to the county. Using the tool to report air pollution you see is easy, just follow these steps:

  1. If you wish to be contacted with a follow up to your report, enter in your email address and we will let you know the result of your report after it is submitted to the county. Your email address will not be used for any other purpose and will be kept private. If you do not wish to provide an email, proceed as anonymous.
  2. In the upper left-hand corner of the app, click “Add air pollution issue” and click the map to indicate the approximate location you observed the event.
  3. After you click a dialogue box will appear, check the boxes about how you observed the event, what time it may have taken place, and any health effects you may have experienced.
  4. Please provide any further details about the source and type of pollution you experienced, be as specific you can.
  5. Click submit at the bottom left corner of the dialogue box, your report will be mapped and sent to Allegheny County Health Department.
